Exodus 17:12-14

¹² When Moses’ hands became heavy, they took a stone and put it under him, and he sat on it. Aaron and Hur supported his hands, one on one side and one on the other, and so his hands were steady until the sun went down. ¹³ Joshua defeated^[a] Amalek and his army using swords.

¹⁴ Then the Lord told Moses, “Write this in a book as a memorial and recite it to^[b] Joshua: ‘I’ll certainly wipe out the memory of the Amalekites from under heaven.’”
